***HELP!!!!Transfer dilemma :/ ***

I have a burning interest in transferring to Northeastern Univeristy. I am currently in my last semester at a small CC in upstate NY. I did horrible my first couple of semester and around this time last year, had a 1.2 GPA (I know pretty pathetic). I worked my behind off and managed to pull my GPA up to a 2.7 within a year. I know its still not great but considering where i was just a year ago, its an hell of a improvement. I am also retaking a class this semester that i had previously gotten a D, in which i know is bringing my GPA down. In a nutshell, i wanted to know if i apply for next springs semester, are they only looking at my current 2.7 GPA? or if i bring my GPA up to atleast a 3.0 in my last semester will it even matter since i want to transfer in the spring and I wont know my final GPA until the end of the semester. (I hope this makes sense) I plan on getting all A's or B+ in my classes this semester.

Also during the application process will it help to send out my midterm grades? I know for their school it isnt necessary but in my situation i think it may help me.

Both GPA’s matter, but the GPA you have at the time of application is the one that can determine your ability to get in. If you get accepted as a transfer, you’ll have to keep your GPA above a certain level after finishing at the CC.

You can apply anyway, but you may have trouble getting in, according to their page. The “most successful” GPA for transfer is 3.3:
[Northeastern University Undergraduate Admissions > Transfer Students > What We Look For](http://www.northeastern.edu/admissions/transfer/what-transfer.html)

Try, and if you don’t get in, take another semester to get that GPA up. It will give you more time to complete necessary prereq’s as well.

do you think sending my mid term grades would better my chances?

@do you think sending my mid term grades would better my chances?

Sorry no. Just keep chipping away at classes you need and do the best you can and you should be fine.
