<p>I am on the official website for NYU and it shows important upcoming deadlines. One is Jan 1 and says Regular admission but is under the Freshman applicant category. Under the Transfer applicant deadline it says April 1st, just a bit confused. Any clarifications would greatly help, Thanks.</p>
<p>Transfer applications are generally processed later in the year because the initial focus is on the much larger task of selecting an entering Freshman class. The April 1 deadline is consistent with that.</p>
