I'm applying to transfer to a university that offfers an archticture BA or BS. Schools I'm looking at are UW (w stands for washington), UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cal Poly San luis, UVA, Arizona State, USC, Cornell (super long shot), Kansas State, U of O, Columbia (sheesh) and others. My college GPA at time of application is a 3.4 so i just am praying I get into to any of them. I'm going to work really hard on my essays to try and give me a fighting chance.
At first I was reluctant to transfer from my current university due to the fact that just the thought of going through the admissions process again is enough to make you go to your dorm, lock the door, throw your backpack on the floor, and lay on your bed like a corpse in fear of what's to come. However, being an architect is what I want to do. I realized one night as I was sitting in my dorm going over political science and philosopy textbooks and notes, that I truly did not want to be a lawyer. I've always loved buildings and designs however my problem is that I'm not what you would call an artist. Since almost all arch. schools ask for a portfolio of artistic work to apply, this is a huge problem. What should I do? Ask an art professor to help me put some stuff together?
