Help! Trouble finding a summer program! :(

Hi everybody! first post ^^

So I'm in the 9th grade (I live in Indonesia, that's the equivalent of a freshman in US high schools) and I've been really interested in taking a summer course, but I find it really hard to find a suitable summer course in a University for my age (15 years old this June)

I've looked at Summer@brown, Columbia, and the Newsroom by the bay @Stanford, but I'm still not really sure where to apply to :(

If it helps, I'm interested in Journalism, Psychology, Leadership/International relations, Social justice, Art and Drama courses :) doesn't have to be ALL of those, just one is fine.

Preferably the program should be in the US and in a university(want to get a taste of that university life!), and preferably longer than 2 weeks (I have the whole summer!)

Also, is it possible to attend more than one course, and has anyone had any experience in doing so?

So any recommendations? suggestions? advice? or just willing to share personal experiences (good or bad) would be helpful :)

Thank you everyone! and sorry for the long post! x

Hi Cha,

Also check out Blueprint Summer Programs. They are at UCLA, GW and a couple more great schools, but they specialize in a balanced program academics/fun so it’s a solid way to get a taste of college life in the US. And they are low stress, meaning the application process is easy. Check them out. Our son did it last summer and their reputation as the “best kept secret” in precollege programs proved to be true. He LOVED it.
