Help tweak my plan?

I'm currently a junior, make good grades in my classes with seniors, play the tuba in the marching band, I play on the rugby team, and am close to my Eagle Scout Rank in Boyscouting. My goal is to be a surgical oncologist, and I have a plan to get there that I want some feedback on.

I'll go to my undergrad school, enroll in ROTC, take all the undergrad classes, premed, etc. Then when I go to med-school I plan on enlisting in the Navy as a Field Medic. Talking to a few people I may go Air Force, as they too have medics. I've heard of there being some 'deal' with the Armed Forces where they will pay for Med-School for 7 years of service. That's what I plan on doing. (Again this is a rough draft of my plan.)

What I want to know, is A: How solid is this plan?
B: What would be good colleges to support me in this? (I have a few ideas, but I'm open to suggestions.)
C: Which branch of the Armed Forces should I focus on getting into?

Any feedback is appreciated!
