Help! UC Berkeley vs. Vandy

I got accepted by Cal and Vandy, and I have trouble to make the decision. I wanna enter a law school in the future, and it's obvious that Berkeley has a very strong pre-law program. But here comes the problem. At Berkeley, is it difficult to get in the class you want to? And since Vandy has a smaller class size, will it be better for me? Plus, I'm a sociable person and love to make friends with others. Advice pls! Thanks!

Not sure what “strong pre-law program” means, other than getting a high GPA in whatever undergraduate major and electives you like and getting a high LSAT score (note that math, physics, and philosophy majors tend to do well on the LSAT). What would your actual major be?

You may want to ask on the school specific forums for your type of questions. Class sizes you may be able to find on each school’s on-line schedule of classes.

How does the net cost differ between the two schools?

Such totally different schools! Not too many people who would want Vandy would also be interested in Berkeley and vice versa. How did you end up with those two?

And you can study anything in college an apply to law school. No pre-reqs at all. Just LSAT scores, grades and recs and a story line about your professional aspirations that fits with your record.

As for how hard or easy it is to get classes at Berkeley, it may depend on what you are majoring in. Check it out on the forum for Berkeley.
