Hi,

I think I might have messed something up. I created my UChicago Account for my 2016 EA application, and it asked for some basic information (name, address, SSN etc) so I filled it out and clicked submit.

Now, it says Application Submitted 06/15/2015 and it says that its awaiting all the elements of my college app (Common Application, Test Scores, Teacher Recs, etc.) and they have big red Xs next to them. Did I mess up and accidentally submit my UChicago app incomplete, or is this simply how it shows when you’ve created a UChicago account and they won’t consider my application for admission until I submit the required stuff?

Will I be penalized for this?

ComputerAge, why don’t you give us a call at 773-702-8650 at your convenience and we can troubleshoot the problem with you. It’s nothing to worry about; we can check things out from our end once we know your name and account information, which should only be done by phone.

@UChicago Thank you for your prompt reply. I already emailed UChicago Account Support, and they notified me that all this means is that my account is setup in their system, and that my application won’t be considered until all elements are submitted by the deadline.
