Help! Ucsb!

<p>Hey. Okay, so I'm a junior in high school from right now.I'm really hoping to get into UCSB. It's my dream school. I've lived in California my whole life ( I don't know if this gives me an edge lol) Okay well here are some stats hehe: </p>

<p>Sophmore Year:

French 2
Honors World History/World History ( Switched to regular bc of a huge issue with the honors teacher; mom wanted me out)
GPA: 3.0/3.8 ( yah i totally messed up 1st semester :/ )</p>

<p>Junior Year:
Trig/Pre-Calc ( not an honors at our school)
Chemistry ( no ap at our school)
Yearbook
US History
AP English 11
Art 1
GPA: 3.8/3.8 </p>

<p>Senior Year:
AP Bio
AP English 12
Statistics (At the local college)
Art 2
Leadership
Econ/Govt. </p>

<p>EC's
-Varsity swim team since freshman year ( Captain Sophmore year)
-Swimming since I was 8</p>

<p>-Cheerleading 3 years ( Co-Captain Sophmore Year)
-Cross country 1 year ( maybe two, if i'm able to to both cheer and xcountry senior year)</p>

<p>-Friday Night Live- 2 years
-Art Club-Junior year</p>

<p>Jobs:
-Lifeguard the summer after sophmore year
-In-N-Out Burger December 2007-Present</p>

<p>Took them in May of this year, and got a 1810 ( 640 CR, 620 W, and 550 M
Going to study my butt off this summer to get it to at least a 1900. And am taking Subjects next year ( Literature, And History)</p>

<p>-Going to be volunteering this summer!</p>

<p>Soooo. What do you think my chances are for UCSB?? And what else should I do to make myself more "competitive" hehe </p>

<p>What you really need to know is your UC GPA, which is different than the GPA calculated by your school. Go online to get a copy of the UC application, print it out and use it as a worksheet to calculate your UC GPA.
Also check to make sure you are on track to fulfill your UC course requirements for high school.</p>
