Tonight, I finished the application and submitted it, and went back a few minutes ago to pay the application fee... I put that I was going to pay with a credit card, hit "save," and waited for the next page to load. while I was waiting, my computer dropped its wireless connection, and I got "page cannot be displayed." I logged back in and tried to do pay again, and got this message:

"We cannot verify that your credit card transaction was successful. Please try again later."

I didn't enter in any information about the credit card... should I just wait, or should I send someone an email? im very worried as the priority deadline is today. Should i Call the admissions office??? Someone online mentioned that you could just create a whole new account, fill out the entire application again and hope that it works, but I'm a little hesitant to try that. Please help.

Just try it again (if you haven’t already). The payment system is supposed to reset every 15 minutes.

I truly hope you had the opportunity to complete your application on time as UF doesn’t allow late entries for admissions.
One question -
Why did you wait for the last minute to submit your application and what benefit did you achieve by submitting your application on the last day ? Just curious …

ilove47…They do accept late applications. I honestly don’t know we here you get your information.

^^^^
WRONG WRONG WRONG --------

I am trying to make myself crystal clear in case anyone else is reading this thread –
If a true freshman applicant fails to submit their application before the “first-round” November 1st cut-off, then any subsequently submitted late application is placed on what is essentially a “stand-by” applicant pool where one’s chances of admission to UF are virtually impossible, barring a nearly perfect academic transcript.

Translation – If you haven’t submitted your application yet, then you are SOL.

Yet the have dorms for late applicants. You said they don’t accept late applications. They do. It’s on their website. Whether you get in or not is on you, but they do accept them.

The late applicant for housing is not the same as the late applicant for admission. Quite a few people wait to apply for housing until later or until they find out they are accepted. That’s what they mean when you see “late application triple”, etc. This is not the same as applying for admission. Before my son applied we went for a tour of the school and during the information session they couldn’t stress enough that you apply by November 1st or the priority deadline. I have to agree with ilovethe47, they may technically “accept” it but unless you’re someone THEY really, really want, your chances are nil.

OK, I was wrong about late applicant dorms being for late applicants, but they do accept late applications.

^^^
No problem, all is good----
HINT-----
If you honestly believe that you will gain admission to UFL and require housing, submit your deposit ASAP and be placed on the waiting list. It is only $ 25 and it is well worth the money even if you are turned down. A late application to housing may mean no housing come fall term.

UF does not accept late applications! We went on the admissions tour twice and they stressed this point many times! You are out of luck if you submit November 2nd. Housing is a whole different ball game. Just wanted to put this out there so applicants for 2014 aren’t confused after reading this thread.
