Help! Umich Vs. Tufts University Class Of 2010

hey guys ive been accepted to both the university of michigan and tufts university. ive been debating both schools for a long time now and i was wondering what others think.

btw, dont be a tool, stay in school.

what do you want to major in? do you prefer a huge or medium sized school? boston or ann arbor?

im wanna do a premed track but unsure of major. most likely political science or economics

so many premeds in this country!!! lol

i plan on double majoring in poli sci and econ, i had the same choice, i sent my deposit into michigan on monday....basically if you want a nurturing enviroment where you take your time and slowly grow and develop you intllectual skills go to tufts....i went to a private school so i didnt really feel like having my highschool experience replayed on a slightly larger scale in college....if you want a big school experience go to u mich....and at the very least you can have a good time

"so many premeds in this country!!! lol"

There's not enough... that's why there is a shortage of nurses. It's been identified as one of the hottest jobs. You can make good money (80K out of college).

U Mich. I sent my deposite in a couple days ago. I want to double major in Physics and maybe political science. You really cant beat 2nd or 3rd politcal science program in the country and agian...med school at U Mich is top 10 and the hospital is HUGEEEEEEEEEE (i saw it on one of my visits). I have a few friends going to tufts and it seems like a nice place but i think you will get much more out of a very well-rounded research university like Michigan.

Just my biased opinion. Good luck.

How many people do major in economics but plan on pursuing medicine? I only ask because that's something I'd like to do too, but am unsure of what I should focus on in my undergrad years.

I have the same choice...i'm visiting tufts tomorrow, and already visited michigan...

i want to choose tufts, so if the tour and everything goes well, I will...I am pre-vet so Tufts would be better for me because it has one of the best vet schools in the country and so the undergrad would really help me when i later apply.
