Hi i have offers for electronic and computer engineering for uni of Manchester,Edinburgh,Bath, sheffield, southampton.
And for software engineering in Uni of Waterloo and toronto.

Price will be a deciding factor for me. I can manage paying UWaterloo easily as its abt 15-16 lakhs per annum and i will be able to manage with my co-op earnings.

I can also apply to us schools, but they are bit expensive.

Would u recommend IIT/BITS over Toronto or Waterloo.
Please strenghten your verdict with examples or facts etc.

If price is a deciding factor then maybe you should consider the UK universities. They normally have three year courses so may work out to be cheaper over the entire course.

If you can afford it, then Waterloo is great place to go to. A friend’s son passed out from there and they had all great things to say for Waterloo.

[University of Waterloo Rankings | Top Universities](http://www.topuniversities.com/node/9186/ranking-details/world-university-rankings/2012)

“Several of Waterloo’s programs have also gained recognition nationally and internationally. Waterloo’s engineering program has consistently been ranked within the top 100 universities.
IIT/BITS is very relative- what IIT do you think you can get into? If you can get into IIT-B, I wouldn’t even look at any of the colleges you’ve mentioned

Really even when the unis i have mentioned are in top 50 and IIT-B is in 200s.
What makes you still go for them.

@Innaya, Just because IITs are Super selective does not make them any better than the stated colleges. IIT-B is great and your relatives and friends will probably go “WOW! IIT” but in the end IMO, you will enjoy your four years at Waterloo much more than at IIT. Unless you like the cut throat competition and outdated facilities…

Yeah agree with DamnTypos. Poor resources and outdated facilities at its level high. You don’t go to college just to study 24X7. What do IIT’s offer besides usual course study? Even quality of teaching is debatable.
