Oh that’s what you meant. You don’t have to send them at the same time. Go ahead submit the common app now. To be on the safe size I would submit the supplement within the next 2 hrs 30 mins (and counting), but I doubt anything will happen if you submit it tomorrow (happens, all the time).

If you really have zilch written then take the extra day to submit the supplement. If you have a fully-functioning essay ready that you’re feeling neurotic about, then do some last minute edits and just submit. From my own experience can’t be to hard to conjure up an essay in 150 minutes (you also can use parts/bits from your other essays from other schools you applied to).

You will need to submit your application by 11:59 EST, that would include your common app and supplement. You can submit supporting documents within few weeks of deadline. Supporting documents are LORs and transcript. Essays are important to top tier schools, so I would try to do the best of you. If you have applied to other schools, you can easily copy and paste a lot of your essays. You have another 2 hours. Good luck.

The fact you totally forgot about Cornell’s deadline it is probably your top choice, so try not to stress out over it.

I don’t think its fair to downplay the importance of the essay as none of us know the College/School at Cornell that the OP is applying to. Some schools utilize the essay ALOT more than others do and in different ways. In my experience/research, the CHE is one of those schools that really looks at the essay to establish and check for fit in the applicant to their college because it is so unique and different. Essays are important no matter the school/college/instituition. But yes I agree that sometimes people can go overboard with their importance but it is better than downplaying their importance. Just my .02 cents.
