Hi everyone. I have recently graduated from high school and decided to go with USC's Trojan Transfer Plan. For those of you who don't know, this program would allow me to transfer to USC after a year at a CC if I complete a set of requirements. During this summer, I took an English class at a CC to get a head start and for some reason I have yet to discover, my professor gave me a C in the class. One of the requirements of the TTP is that I can earn only A's and B's. I had never gotten anything lower than a B+ on any of my works before the final, so I assume there was something I did wrong on the final. The counselor told me that I couldn't change my grade to a W because I didn't fail, and that the only way to change my grade now is to see my professor and have her sign a Change of Grade Request form. I will be seeing her, but for now I am wondering if anybody has any advice about what to do? If I end up unable to change my grade, will I still have a good chance of transferring to USC after a year if I retake the class again this fall/spring and earn a higher grade? Thanks
