Well, to start off, I'm a junior in high school, and I want to go into pre-med in college with a physics major. For some background information, my freshman year of highschool, I had a 96.4741 weighted GPA in all honors courses. For my sophmore year I moved back to my home state, and was able to attend MATES, a science and math based vocational high school (I got in for 9th, moved, moved back, and got in again). We take all honors courses (no AP), and get college credit for some (Biotech, Physics I and II, English IV, and Oceanogrophy). We get told by a lot of colleges that this will be factored in to our admissions. I got a 86.8438 unweighted GPA last year. Also, if it helps, I had a 173 or 183the (can't remember) on the PSAT last year and did substantually better this year I believe, to estimate my SAT I will get. I want to go to Stony Brook U. for their 8 year pre-med program. What are my chances of getting in based on my information, and how much improvement would be necessary if I can not currently get in?
