Help, was my application not received?

So I applied to George Washington awhile ago, I believe I sent the common app in November and the supplement in late December. I got verification from the common app site that it all went through. GW did not send me an ID but I had heard this was rather common. Since I was a little worried I went ahead and emailed the admissions office to ask what was going on. They said they would send me my ID if I sent them my birthday. That was this afternoon so its to be expected that they haven't gotten back to me yet. Then I got an email from George Washington thanking me for beginning my application and reminding me that I can still apply. What's going on? I tried to call the admissions office but they're closed and won't be open until after the due date is passed. Is this just another function of the fact that it takes them awhile to process apps or should I be worried? Thanks for your help.

I got the same email and it said that if you already submitted it on the common app then disregard the message. Besides, if you did everything correctly then they wont hold it against you. You can always contact them when they get back just to make sure. They wont completely disregard your application if it's their fault it's gone. But don't freak out because I'm pretty sure that if you submitted it on the common app they have it. I think the email was just a general one. Also, I filled out P1 on the website so I could schedule an interview, can I switch to the common app (because I want to include the little short answer about my EC and the website doesn't have that)?
