Help (Wednesday, July 21st Orientation)

I'm from San Jose. My orientation date, since it was a late reservation, fell under July 21st. I don't happen to have a ride and was wondering if anyone around the area of San Jose has space?

Thanks.
If anything email, ericdnguyen92@gmail.com

Thanks again.

If you don’t get a ride you can take the highway 17 bus at diridon station. It’ll lead to downtown santa cruz metro station. Then you can take a bus to campus from there. It might take around 45/50 minutes if there’s no traffic. Just wanted to give you the information in case you can’t find a ride.

thanks so much =]

FWIW: I’d budget closer to an hour and a half via bus.

you can also look for rides on Zimride[/url”>http://zimride.ucsc.edu/]Zimride

Question about orientation.
So if our parents our taking me, but just dropping me off, am I most likely going to be alone during orientation? Or will I find other alone people?

you’ll find other people. i highly doubt everyone will be with their parents cause i wont be. =] goodluck

i’m going with my dad but i kno a few people who are going by themselves so i’m sure you’ll be fine. plus a lot of it we have to do on our own anyway.

They actually separate the parents and students after the beginning ceremony. The parents go on a parent’s tour while you go to meetings with your college’s advisors and then a meeting based on major. After that, parents and students get back together to eat lunch. I went by myself and had a really fun time/met great people.
