Here's me I am a smart, talented, and hardworking when I need to be. The problem is I have been a slacker almost my whole high school career. First year I had a 2.5 ( took a few honors classes didn't do so good), 10th grade 2.5 as well. Now I'm half way through junior year and so far first semester I had a 3.0 and I've been working hard and I'm maintaining straight A's with 2 honors classes. I plan on getting a 4.2 in my last semester this year. Next year I've signed up for alot of AP and honors classes 5+. I'm really good on standardized tests so I'm expecting a high SAT score 2200+. I'm also really good at writing essays so I feel I can do well on that. I have a few people I can rely on to get good recommendation letters. I have a good amount of E.C many clubs and I'm doing community service now as well. So lets get to where I want to go:
My top choices, NYU Stern. Penn state. Pitt. Northwestern. Robert Morris. University of Michigan. London school of business
I'm not really sure of many other schools but I'm open to suggestions.
Thank you in advance

Matt: Pitt, Robt, Morris and maybe PSU might be the only realistic schools IF you blow out your SATs. NU, UoM, NYU and LSoE are not realistic for you. You should sit down w/your guid counselor and ask him/her where other kids w/your performance are applying.

One other thing: at this point you singular goals should be boosting GPA and killing your SATs. Your community svc and ECs must take extreme low priority if at all. They won’t be useful in the sorts of schools you’ll be shooting for.

Thank you for the help. I plan on having a meeting with her this week. I just hope I can turn this all around.
