Hello, I'm a white, female junior in high school and beginning to look at colleges. The only problem is I don't know which ones to set my sights on because I don't want to over or underestimate my odds of getting in.
These are my REACHER schools (also my tops), but I know my odds of getting in are probably very slim so I don't want to get my hopes up: Upenn, Stanford, Brown, Vanderbilt, Berkley
I know this schools are the best of the best, but I can't help but love them.
I think I have a better chance at getting into these schools: UCLA, Boston College, USD
These aren't my top schools, but I still think they are good schools.
I know my colleges are kind of all over the place. If you have any recommendations I would be sincerely grateful, ideally I would want to go out of state (CA), but I made exceptions for a few of the above, not too thrilled about USD though.
Okay, moving on...
Here are my stats:
Education
GPA- nw 3.9, w 4.5
I've taken the most rigorous classes possible throughout high school, except for spanish
Schedule- IB English 3, AP Bio, Spanish 3, AP Calc AB, Greek 2 Honors, AP US History, Religion
I also go to one of the most difficult (if not the most) high school in my area
I have not taken the SAT/ACT yet, but plan to get a 2100-2200 on the SAT and a 30 or above on the ACT
Athletics
Varsity cross-country and varsity track athlete all four years
Team captain of cross-country junior and senior year, possibly for track also
Multiple awards for cross-country and track
I played frosh-soph soccer my freshmen year and found that I wanted to focus more on my running career, but also received multiple soccer awards.
I really want to run in college, I think that would help with admissions also.
EC's
In the school...
Link Crew leader (sophomore-senior year)
Student Ambassador (sophomore-senior year)
President/ founder of a club
Member of other clubs
National honors society
Outside of school...
Mostly volunteer work-

Middle school track coach (freshman-senior year)

volunteering with the boys and girls club as part of my lumen christi project for school(junior-senior year)
I want to take a class at the community college this summer (not really sure which one yet, environmental science, journalism, or psychology).
I can't think of any more now, but I also hope to get a part-time job for the summer to get work experience.
I think that's it. I will probably get very good teacher recommendations and I know I can write a good essay.
It would be much appreciated and extremely helpful if you could let me know which of the aforementioned schools you think I have a chance of getting into!
