Help what are the best canadian unis

Hey,

does anyone know what are the best canadian unis?
i'm looking at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver), Mcgill University and the University of Toronto

pls help

well, I think you just mentioned the top 3.

either toronto or mcgill is typically ranked first, followed by vancouver.

if you will seek employment in canada, I generally sense that rankings are less important in canada than in the US or UK. so i would advise you to pursue the university you believe you will be most happy at, regardless of rankings.

also, for a lib arts education, St. xavier, in nova scotia, has a solid reputation.

It totally depends on the field. In my field, the best are considered to be UBC and Memorial in Newfoundland, so look into each university for your specialty.

Again as others mentioned, it depends on your field.

From the top of my head, here's what I recall from last year's research with no particular order (keep in mind I only know of Ontario schools since that's where I live):

University of Toronto St. George, University of Waterloo, Queens Univeristy, McMaster University, Western University

McGill I've heard of and it has a good reputation as well. St. Xavier's been ranked consistently I believed as the top school in Macleans' magazine.

You couldn't go wrong w/ either McGill or UoT. UBC I've heard of but don't have much experience w/.

For math, I've always heard that Waterloo is by far the best Canadian university.
