I live in Europe and want to go to a good college in the States....but I'm not sure if I need the same things as other Americans do to apply, like if I need to take APs as well as SATs and how many SAT subject tests I should do.....and also could you guys recommend books and websites for studying as I don't go to an American school???Thanks.

This is a good website to start your research: International Students - EducationUSA

Most selective colleges will require SAT and SAT Subject Test scores. (You should be fine with 2 subject tests; there are only two or three colleges in the country that require 3.) If English is not your native language, you might also have to take the TOEFL.

However if you have a perfect CR and WR score on the SAT you may e-mail colleges you would like to apply and explain that you do not enough money to take TOEFL (it is really expensive, about 250-300$ )

yeah...and sending them is expensive too.....who founded TOEFL?????

Some ETS official I guess

Correction: ETS genius :)
