<p>I applied to LSU and they sent me an email saying they wanted my mid-year grades. this was a week ago. I just checked my admission status and it says "provisional decision reached and mailed".....what could this mean? I already know they want my mid-year grades...anything you might know...</p>

<p>mid-year report is your transcript with your most recent senior year grades (and any changes in SAT/ACT). they might have a form too.</p>

<p>A provisional decision means that generally, they’ve accepted you and barring a fall-off on mid year grades, you’re golden. However, if you do sink, they will withdraw their offer or maybe put you on severe probationary status as an incoming freshman.</p>
<p>really? well that is good, i wonder why they sent me that email 3 weeks ago…i figured i’d have to wait until January to receive a decision. it was mailed 8/31/09 so i guess i should know soon enough.</p>
