HELP!! what is the significance of having a minor?

<p>I have a couple questions concerning a minor </p>

<p>1) is it possible (easy) to have a communications or psychology major and minor in a different college like economics or bio </p>

<p>2) What's the significance ? will it look a lot better if you have say a communications major with a minor in econ ? </p>

<p>3) Is it a waste of time ( or just as hard ) to minor in something instead of just double majoring ?</p>

<p>Any answers would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>1) It is generally possible, and easy.
2) Minors don't seem to actually matter very much.
3) It is generally much easier to minor in something than to major.</p>
