I made a stupid silly mistake on my Common App and I just submitted it. I wrote Spanish National Honors Society instead of Spanish National Honor Society. Do you think I should e-mail the admissions office and ask them to correct this minor detail? Would this be a turn-off to my application in any way?

I truly wouldn't worry about this tiny error! It just proves that you did the app yourself, and that you are a kid! Everyone makes mistakes. Put this out of your mind, and relax now that the app is submitted. Congratulations for submitting it on time! Don't even think about this again....Good luck!

I totally agree with franglish. This is not worth any concern, nor is it worth getting in touch with them.

you're fine, and congrats on getting it DONE!

Don't worry, chillax...

Its not a problem! My eldest son had a few typos - and still was accepted at his first choice school - one that accepted 11% of applicants. You'd only hurt your chances if you called and brought attention to yourself as a "worrier." Don't obsess. Relax. It's out of your hands now. Its fine.

Given the number of applications that admissions people review, I doubt that they will even notice!

thanks for your quick feedback...much appreciated!!
