Help what should I do?

I keep having this messages such as :"Congratulations! You have been chosen to receive the exclusive Select Scholar Application from XXX University.

This personalized application is fast, easy...and there's no charge to apply (saving you $XX). There's also no long essay required - just submit a graded paper or write a short personal statement instead. And, you'll get a priority admission decision - after we receive your completed application, we'll get back to you fast. Plus, you could be eligible for priority scholarship consideration if you apply before the nonbinding November 15 Early Action deadline. (You'll receive a decision by January 15, 2010.)"

They are asking me to apply as Early Decision, Action and many others. My college counselor said its the best to apply some of them since I'll get scholarship consideration, and application fee waived. So should I?

I get the same, I don’t really know either.

I would say don’t bother unless there is ANY chance you would go to that school. IF your school is small and private, and you like the college counselor, you might apply to get the statistics up :P

Would you actually attend those schools? If you will need financial aid to attend college, it doesn’t hurt to have an acceptance with a scholarship in hand. Just be sure it is non-binding Early Action and not Early Decision, so you keep your options open.

If you would never consider attending (even for free) don’t bother.
