I just took the SAT subjects in chemistry and I think I did really poorly partly because I only went through 1 year of regular Chemistry and there were many things I never even saw on the test before. I must have left almost 20 blank and guessed on a lot. At the same time, I took the test in other subjects and I don't want to cancel those. I plan to retake the SAT in chem later. What should I do??

If you want your other scores then don’t cancel them. I think CB has an option where you can send individual subject test scores, but I’m not really sure. Someone else could probably correct me.

I looked it up and many colleges that I apply to allow score choice, but a few do not accept it. I’m wondering if I were to retake this test would that make up for any past scores?

I felt the same way about the chem test, but I’m sticking it out since I took other tests as well. I figure that most colleges, even if they see everything, only consider your highest, so I can just retake if they end up being that bad. I looked at sparknote’s curve chart and it seemed like I could still get a 700, so I’m just going to cross my fingers that the curve is good.

I will probably just keep them and then if necessary I may retake in the fall.
