I'm just wondering if anyone can help me decide which college to attend. I've heard great things about both on here. Currently I am leaning towards Wheaton because my main aspirations are to attend a strong Christian community, and at the same time the most rigorous in the academic sense. Financial aid is roughly the same between the two.

If anyone could give more information on the two, that would be great.

Well of course i’m going to advise you to go to Pepperdine. You will definitely be challenged academically.

They are similar in quality educationally. For a stronger “Christian” environment, Wheaton comes in higher IMO.

I agree … sorta. Both are fine institutions, very different, even tho both “Christian.” Pepperdine is not Wheaton academically or culturally, imo.

But it has the gawdawful albatross of trying to promote JC in CA. Enough to generate an “omg!” :eek:

;) Both good in very different ways. I’m not sure what "a stronger ‘Christian’ environment might be? Can anyone 'splain?

@Whistle Pig

“stronger Christian” meaning that the students, for the most part, don’t go off campus looking for parties, or in essence, are stronger in their faith. I don’t want to attend any sort of psuedo-christian environment where everyone believes in Jesus, but nobody walks with him, if you know what I mean.

Thanks. Interesting perspective. I was reading about the pharisees just this a.m., and Jesus joy in partying with those taxpayers and others sinners. And he always seemed to enjoy going to the shore for quiet times alone with his Father, praying, feeding all those sinners who wouldn’t leave him alone. Damned hordes! :eek:
