Help! When will I get an interview?

Normally I would not be worried about when or if I am going to be offered an off-campus interview. However, in this case, Brown is the only interview that I have not been notified about so far, and I have to schedule a surgery sometime in January or February.

Basically, what is the most likely window of time in which I should receive an interview request? Also, I’m positive that tons of Brown alum live in my area.

I saw on another post that February 15th is the deadline for interviews, but I also heard a few people received an interview after this date. Does anyone know the Brown interview deadline? That would help a lot.

As fireandrain says in the helpful interview sticky, “If you don’t hear by around Nov. 20 for early decision and by Feb. 1 for regular decision, then call admissions.” Any time before then, it is reasonable to expect to hear about an interview.

Feb. 15 is the deadline for submitting interview reports. In some cases, for whatever reason, interviews might happen after then, but generally you should expect to be offered an interview before then.

Great, thanks!

I got an email yesterday begging for more interviewers due to the numbers of applicants from the area. Maybe your local interviewers have a heavy load and still haven’t gotten to you

Just because there are “tons of Brown alumni” in your area doesn’t mean that they all volunteer to interview. A lot of alums do not interview.

I’ve also gotten some emails from people outside my area looking for more volunteers. There’s no question that there are some areas with more applicants than interviewers.

If it makes you feel any better, my interviewer contacted me right before November 20th and I submitted my application on Halloween. My friends were scared that Brown had already rejected me because my interview was scheduled so late, lol.
Good luck.
