Hi!

I am currently a sophomore at a CA community college. (I went to an "average" out-of-state university for my freshman year and realized it was too expensive for the quality of education I was getting.) I left the previous University because I wanted to transfer to a smaller liberal arts college where I'll really be challenged, but my ccc makes it reallllly accessible to transfer to UCB (and how could you say no to a Berkeley education?!)

So I'll be applying to UC Berkeley for fall 2010 and its my top (and only good) choice as of now. I'd be beyond ecstatic to attend UCB, but I need more choices in case I don't get in. I won't have the pre-requisites for UCLA and UCSD in time... I was thinking of applying there on the off-chance they offer me Spring 2010 admission. Is this a good idea?

Also, and more importantly, can anyone suggest any good liberal arts colleges that have strong Political Science departments (safety/reach/matches)? There's just so many out there- I feel really lost!

My stats:
College GPA- 3.76 (I should get a 4.0 this fall 2009 term)
Major- Political Science
Ex. C: Work- waitress 20 hrs/week.
Intern at Congressional Office- 5 hrs/wk.
Chairperson of Micro-financing fundraising committee at previous University through a club.
Speech and Debate Team at CC (I have won numerous awards at tournaments).
Founder/volunteer- Food Drive.
I also expect to have a pretty solid personal statement.

ANY suggestions would be much appreciated. Also, I wouldn't mind being chanced. :)

Thanks!
