I have a test tomorrow to try to place into ap chem tomorrow (im a sophomore) and i know i will fail so yeah i need to rethink my ap choices. I am taking AP Calc AB, AP Comp Sci, and auditing AP Physics I this year. Do you think that it is possible to self learn AP Comp Sci and take AP World and AP Comparative Gov (each are semester courses) instead? Or should I take AP Comp Sci and self teach AP World/AP Comparative Gov? Thanks for all of your help! :)

I feel like it would be easier to self study history courses.

Never ever self study a History AP course, you need the textbook and you need the class so that you will have time to read and process the information, you really don’t need AP World History or AP Comparative Government, they aren’t useful AP classes, in my opinion, to be honest. Same with AP Computer Science unless if you are majoring in Computer Science or something similar, same with maybe AP World and Ap Comp Gov in their respected similar majors.

It depends on your projected major on what to do. If you don’t know follow what your guts say, I would say AP World/AP Comp Gov since AP Physics and AP Calc AB would be already a good enough amount of mathematical thinking.

Good luck!
