<p>I need to choose between Penn State and UT Austin. Im hoping to pursue Computer Engineering.</p>
<p>Which college is more reputable/will be better for getting a job/is a more fun place?</p>

<p>Both are in fun places. Both are great for CS. Both are great for jobs/career preparation. Both are great for American football and have a lot of “spirit” (people cheering on their university team).
So essentially it depends on whether you prefer a large university in the northeast or in the south:
- Penn State will be sunny&cold and snowy&cold from November to March, warm humid, and rather sunny the rest of the time vs. Austin, sunny and warm from November to March, very hot, humid, muggy the rest of the time.
- Penn State is within 5 hours of NYC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. Austin is in Texas, so distance are longer, but you’re in the Southwest so it’s very distinctive (landscapes, etc).
If I were you, unless you have specific problems with either humid heat or snow, I’d pick the cheapest option for you.</p>
