Could someone please help me solve this, i am beyond dumbfounded with this one.
Triangle PQR has right angle Q. If sin R = 4/5 , what is the value of tan P? The correct answer should be 0.75

OK. Draw a right triangle. Label it PQR, with the right angle at Q.
Use SOHCAHTOA. Since Sin R = 4/5, and sin = O/H, then PQ =4 and PR= 5
If you’re familiar with the 3-4-5 triangle, you know that side QR= 3; otherwise use Pythagorean Theorem to get it.
Now use Pythagorean Theorem again. Tan P = Opp/ Adj. The Opp is side QR, or 3… The Adj side is PQ, or 4.
So the answer is 3/4 or .75
