Help with a math problem... How do you solve this? Nov. 4 Math

Sorry I'm not posting this in the math thread, but it was talked about and I didn't get the explanation.

Z
|<br>
| . . . . . . . . . . . W
| . . . . . . . . . . ./|
| . . . . . . . . Y/ . |
| . . . . . . . \ /. | . |
|-------------------
A . . . . . . . C . D . . F

AZ = 18
YD = 6
YW = 5

What's AF?

All of the triangles shown are similar triangles, meaning their angles are the same & their sides are proportional to the others.

So, in order to do this problem, you must find some additional sides & I think I ended up solving for 3 or 4 sides before finding AF.

Also, I think you're leaving out a given measurement... Is there one you've forgotten?

Here's what I remember finding, but I don't have the time to work otu the entire problem step by step at the moment for you--but you can Private Message me if you'd like. :(
CY=10
CD=8
DF=4
AC=24

AF=36

Sweeeet, I got 36 as well.

was this free response or no? and does anyone remember the other choices?

It wasn't a free response.

I believe the choices were:
24
28 (? could be mistaken on that)
32
36
40

JESUS, how can you remember the answer choices? Amazing lol

xD I have a mind for numbers, but I can't remember most of the CR QUESTIONS to save my life. Oh, & I remembered that after getting AC & CD I could eliminate A,B,C since A=AC & B=AC+CD. That'd why, haha.

Yeah I think I didn't read a given...

ARGH!

What else was given???

Anyone know?

I think either AC or AD was given. Can't remember which.

36 for sure.

Anyone have the one where adults and children were going on a ride? I got 16

Yeah! I got that :)

Okay I'm going to slit my wrists now.
