HELP with a TRANSFER

Transfer Question

I am currently a freshman on a full academic scholarship to the top private college in my state and one of the top three in the southeast. Currently I have all As.

Last year I graduated as the valedictorian of a competetive private school (410+) and scored above 2220 on my SAT (top 99 %). I also did well on my AP tests and have like a ton of service and activities. I have been doing research at a neurodegenerative research facility for a year now. I'll probably get published this year.

Basically I hate my school with a passion and my parents forced me to go there to save money, however I have enough for three years and recently received a ton of scholarships (over ten thousand worth).

I want to transfer to Dmouth. Do I stand a chance given at it given I got in last year?

Why wouldn't you?

All you can do is toss in your application and let the process play itself out. Just remember that the class of 2010 is overenrolled to the point that no one was taken from the waitlist for this class, so transferring into this class will be an uphill battle.

I meant to say that this year's freshman class (the 11's) are over enrolled to the extent that no one was taken from the waitlist which will make it hard to come in as a sophomore transfer.

^ Its going to be a tough battle for Class of 2012 also, right?

It isn't the same thing. The number of transfers who will be accepted for the class of 2011 depends on how many 11's drop out, take a break, go off and do "important work", etc while for the class of 2012, no one has been accepted yet (although it's mid-November so some early decision people probably have been moved to the accepted pile) so all the spots are still open.

anyone else...
