Help with Actives section of common ap

<p>Hi below are the actives i plan to add, my question if how would i format this into the common app form.</p>

<p>Math Club- 3 years 10th -12th grade years-President (12), Vice president (11), Parliamentarian (10)</p>

<p>National Honors society- 3 years 10th-12th grade- Secretary (10) vice-president (11)</p>

<p>T.S.A- 4 years 9th-12th grade- Secretary (9) (11). State finalist in dragster, problem solving, and chapter team (11).</p>

<p>Varsity Tennis Team- 3 years going on 4 years- Second singles position, third singles position, second doubles position. County champions (10-11th grade)-qualified for state (9-12) + Taught tennis to underclassmen’s every day (100 hours)</p>

<p>F.B.L.A 3 years 9th grade-12th grade- Secretary (9)- State finalist for business math (10-11)</p>

<p>Spanish club- 2 years 11-12 grade- Parliamentarian (10)- Raised 700 dollars for Spanish club through volunteer work at Georgia Dome</p>

<p>Hands for Georgia (nonprofit) 1 years- Founder and president of organization- Connected over 30 members from my college and high school towards the promotion of volunteer work. 50+ hours invested towards the promotion of organization and 100+ hours of service with organization</p>

<p>Church youth group (TNTT)- 10 years- Participated in our lady of Vietnamese church youth group along with Sunday school for 10 years, received confirmation on the 10th year and helped with many church activities such as “la vang” (celebration of Mary) 2008,2009,2010,2011.</p>

<p>Tae kwon do- 6 year- received black belt</p>

<p>Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis walk- 05/15/2011 3pm-9pm - ((6 Hours))- Volunteered to assist in the sales of food and the cleanup of that area there after </p>

<p>Weekly maintenance of my church</p>

• Saturday 5/28/2011 9:15am-7:33pm (10hr 15 min) </p>

<p>Every saturday- 8am-4pm (73 hours)- Assist in maintenance (cleaning) of church every Saturday. </p>

<p>Project Vietnam-06/16/2009-06/23/2009 - (48 hours)- When visiting Vietnam in the summer of 2009 me and my family assisted in building homes for under privilege civilians of Vietnam.</p>

<p>Walk to cure breast cancer-(2009-2011)-(12pm-5pm)(45 hours)-Received donations to walk 3-12 miles to raise cure for breast cancer </p>

<p>Volunteer pines library summer 2011 8am-3pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday 230 hours</p>

<p>Appalachia service project-June 19-25 2009,2010,2011,2012- 150hours every year- Traveled to different Appalachia region every year to help a host family rebuild/ repair their house/trailer</p>

<p>Maybe you could talk to your high school guidance counselor.</p>

<p>I think you ought to have a resume. upload the resume in the additional documentation area of the writing section. Try to put the main activities onto the activities section. You’ll have to abbreviate, but do your best. I had the same problem.</p>

<p>Make sure you don’t have cross overs though. I was at an ND admissions workshop and they said if you do upload a resume, don’t have it repeat what you put on your activities section.</p>

<p>The guy said that if they see the same thing they stop looking because they don’t think there is anything new.</p>
