<p>I want to apply to schools with good BFA programs for the Theater or Acting major. So far, I've looked at Pace University, SUNY New Paltz, and Loyola University Maryland. I also generally wish to stay in the New York area. Any recommendations? Thanks!</p>
<p>In the New York area, you might want to look at Montclair and Adelphi.</p>
<p>Adding off the top of my head, either in NY or not too far: Syracuse, Ithaca, SUNY Purchase, Rutgers, University of the Arts (Philly), Temple (Philly… non-auditioned BA), NYU, Fordham (auditioned BA), Hofstra.</p>
<p>Marymount manhattan has majors in theatre arts & acting as well as minors in musical theatre, acting, theatre arts, and others. It’s located in NYC</p>
<p>My daughter was accepted to syracuse, Marymount manhattan and Fordham, After visiting she really LOVED fordham and will be attending this fall. They have been really great so far!!</p>
<p>If Boston isn’t too far away, you might want to look at BU or Emerson</p>
