Internship during college summers, work after college for about 3 years. Yes, it is very competitive so I have to try really hard to get in. They drug test you, polygraph you, have to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have a certain SAT/ACT score, etc… It takes about 90 days for them to tell you if you are qualified then you go to DC and they do the drug tests and stuff with professional polygraphers and stuff.

International Relations BA and maybe International Relations in Foreign Affairs MA, (if I decide to get my grad) while learning Chinese and finishing off Spanish. I also want to minor in dance.

If this is the SMART scholarship (which it sounds like it is), I don’t think an IR major qualifies.

I think you have to major in some kind of engineering, math, or some particular science major for research. (list of qualifying majors: http://smart.asee.org/about

You need to look to see if your major would qualify.

Either way, you can’t count on this. You need a back up plan.

No it’s not that one.

I’m not supposed to tell people if I’m going to apply, idk why lol. It’s a government internship, though. It’s nothing with the DoD or anything. It’s another government organization that offers internships and you can apply your senior year. If you get accepted they pay about 18k a year only for college.

Well, just check to see if your major is included.

In the meantime, that can be a possible source of money, but there’s no guarantees with that.

Yeah, it does.

I know, I just really hope I get accepted. I’ve never done drugs or anything bad and my GPA and tests scores are way above what they’re asking for. I’m going to be applying August 1st.
