<p>Just an update!</p>

<p>So I set up a meeting with the teacher to talk to her about other things related to the club, and then asked her about the officer position. She said that I was one of the people she had in mind, but wasn’t sure who/how many officers she wanted, and that I should remind her at the next meeting (tomorrow). So I think I’m OK!</p>

<p>Another teacher, who is not at all related to the club but friends with the advisor actually came in and listened to our conversation, offering input. That made it that much more awkard. As they were leaving, they started talking about I think me, and how “mature the request was”, so I’m going to assume its a good thing.</p>

<p>In college I worked at the campus food service for extra money. (It is actually a much better job than you think.) Around the end of the year, I started asking the managers about being a student manager. I put the bug into their ear, and they hired me.</p>

<p>Not much different than what you are doing now.</p>
