HELP with AP CREDIT

<p>I am confused as to how some AP credits for UIUC work... such as the AP Latin vergil/literature credit.</p>

<p>On the UIUC site it says that:
4/5 on Vergil gets you credit for Latin 103, 104 & 199 (11 hours)
4/5 on Literature gets you credit for Latin 103, 104, 301 & 199 (14 hours)</p>

<p>I got a 4 on the Lit. exam and am taking Vergil now. Since I get 14 hours with my Lit. test, is there any benefit to taking the Vergil test at all since it gives only 11 hours? I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.</p>

<p>No benefit. The same thing happens if you test out of English via AP and ACT scores. You only get the credit once.</p>
