<p>I do a lot of work with ceramics and photo. Can I include them both in a supplement? Or do colleges want one or the other? Also what does media description mean? Oh also this is for Davidson and UVA if that helps.</p>

<p>Yes, definitely include both. Hopefully you have some drawings as well. Mastery of a range of media would be ideal, though not necessarily required.</p>
<p>Media description, means just that: indicate what the the artwork is made of. Can be one or two words, or more detailed.</p>
<p>If art is one of your main ECs, I always recommend adding an art resume. This would include the portfolio, a list of pertinent classes, awards and accomplishments, a supplemental recommendation from a teacher or mentor, one or two media articles if available, travel experiences if related.</p>
