Hey I got this National Honor Roll thing in the mail and I filled something out and apparentyl I got into it. I was just wondering if this is a real award, or some bogus scam. Ofcourse I didn't pay or anything. Did anyone hear about it? Thanks for your help. And by the way, what are some good awards colleges admire?

i hear it's a bona fide scam but then again, you shouldn't always believe what you hear.

anyone else?

National Honor Roll is a scam. Colleges will laugh at it.

As for good awards, I guess any awards from departments in your school are good, or awards you won at sporting/extracurricular events.

Cool, thanks for letting me know.

But, supposedly it throws possible money at you, and it costs nothing if you don't fall for the trap and buy a yearbook, mug, plaque, t-shirt, and whatever else they've come up with. I'm not sure that would be a "scam," but the prestige part of it is clearly pretty silly. (they say something to the effect of 'omg lolz people will bow to you wherever you go!!1')
