GPA is average, but you have a great SAT score for the schools you’re looking at! Mention your clubs and volunteering, but really emphasize your hospital credentials - they’re fantastic. Will that be what your essay is on?

Emory University: Match
Case Western Reserve University: In
Washington University in St. Louis: In
University of Michigan Ann Arbor: In
University of Rochester: In
Carnegie Mellon University: Match

Wow, you did SO MUCH work at the hospital! That is the key thing u should focus on in your apps, your passion for med. I think your chances are very promising. WHy?

yeah haematic my essay will probably be about my experience there.
b/c i switched mentors this year… i will have both research and clinical experience. going to talk about the duality of research and clinical…? something like that haha

The hospital work is definitally your strongest point. You’re obviously very passionate about that. I think that, actually, since you don’t seem to have very many filler clubs and such, adcoms and stuff will be more drawn to your app.

ADCOM:
Oh, he only has a few ecs, that’s too bad, his scores were nice…oh…wait! Wow, look at that! Hey, Bob, come over here, take a look at what this kid does during his summer and after school! (ADCOM calls BOB over) There isn’t a food bank or one elder visitation listed anywhere on here!

ADCOM puts Stevedamann’s app in the YES PILE, and proceeds to send STEVEDAMANN a full-paid scholarship.

not a professional opinionmay not go exactly as this*** ;)

Not applying for financial aid will help you in this time, schools want your money!

I think:
Emory: high match
Northwestern: reach
Cornell: small reach
Johns Hopkins: high match/low reach
Wash U- high match
case western - in
Michigan - match
Rochester - in
CMU - dont know really, ill say match

What you lack in stats you make up for in ECs, mainly that internship!
Emory: match
Case Western Reserve: in
Washington University in St. Louis: reach
University of Michigan Ann Arbor: in
University of Rochester: in
Carnegie Mellon: match
