<p>You should calculate your expected family contribution and see if you agree that this is the amount you could pay. If you agree with that, you can apply to colleges that promise to meet the expenses beyond the expected family contribution.</p>
<p>Olin college of engineering is free. Also a great school if your son can get in. A LOT of schools meet all demonstrated need--but you're going to have to be able to contribute at least something.</p>

There are some threads there that talk about full-ride schools and the parents who read and answer are very experienced and will give you good suggestions. They will want to know more about what your son is interested in and what he is involved in outside of academics but they can give you lots of good advice.</p>
