have to face the reality and stop living in fantasy world..
I was gonna apply to Brown, Cornell, Tufts, Upenn, Bryn Mawr, Boston College, NYU, Binghamton, and Stonybrook. However, if i don't get into Columbia ED, then why should the first 4 schools i mentioned accept me? i'm obviously underqualified.. so, that means i have to bring down the level of colleges i'm looking at. But i don't know any colleges! those are the ones my counselor suggested to me!! i've been so infatuated with Columbia that i neglected to research any other schools...and now, it's a huge problem. give me some suggestions!

stats? that would be reallllllll helpful

Ummm...I think that is wrong. I didnt get into Brown after applying early but got into Columbia. And my best friend got into Brown but not Columbia or Northwestern!!! Go figure. Its such a crapshoot at this level, it can very easily happen. And Tufts RD is an easier admit than Columbia ED. Cornell is as well. Penn and Brown RD are probably more difficult than Columbia ED, but its a toss-up.
