<p>I just started ninth grade and I want to do some community service? The problem is I don't know when to start and what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.</p>
<p>I have volunteered at the local hospital for two years - I work at the welcome center and show visitors to rooms - it’s not hard work, and if you volunteer a couple of hours a week, you could definitely have quite a bit of volunteer hours by the end of your senior year.</p>
<p>I have also volunteered at the local animal shelter, which you may or may not like depending on your like for animals.</p>
<p>Several clubs at school provide volunteering opportunities such as planting trees, helping out at school dances and other events, giving supplies to the needy, etc. I would suggest asking your guidance counselor or just asking around to see if any of your classmates already volunteer.</p>
<p>Call your local hospital, etc. as well to see if they offer any volunteer opportunities.</p>
