Help with comparing BC vs. Brandeis

I was wondering, religious factors aside, which of the two colleges are better overall academically and perhaps in the "pretigious factor" (as in national opinion about the two). I will be graduating from highschool and attending the two as aundergraduate.

Also, I am thinking of majoring in Government or perhaps Political Science (or maybe History-ie War History dealing with Foreign Policy).

I was hoping someone would be able enlighten me as to determine which of the two may be best for me. (I visited both of the campuses, and I must say they are equally beautiful and have its pros/cons).

Also, which of the two would aid me more in my future in my selection for a Graduate School. I was wondering if the two would have any factors/incentives that would result in me getting better chances in 2011 (is that right...?).

BTW, I am roman catholic, but as I said above, religion is not an issue.

Thank you very much in advance, and I wish my mind can be finally set with advice and kind consultations from my fellow peers.

Academically, I would have to say the two schools are very equal..Brandeis may have a student body that is slightly more focused academically, but the difference shouldnt be too big. BC is slightly harder to get into, but that would be a function more of being in the ACC than of quality. Nationally, more people on the street have heard of BC, but the people who matter would most likely consider these schools to be basically equal. BC is a good amount closer to Boston than Brandeis if that factors into your decision at all.

Pretty much 100% equal in terms of everything besides sports. Total toss-up. Depends on what type of atmosphere you want (Mostly Jews versus almost all white kids with a handful of Jews). Cant go wrong with either.

Both my good friend from high school and I applied to BC. I got in, she didn't (it was her first choice), so she went to Brandeis. We're both catholic. I absolutely love BC, and speaking for her, I'm pretty sure she loves Brandeis. DEFINITELY different atmospheres though...Jewish vs. Catholic, Sports vs. well, not sports-focused... I'd say BC's better known nationally, but that's not a huge deal
