I'm going to be a senior next year. I'm unsure as to what classes will look best for college, so I'll list my options and if someone could help that would be amazing!

Picked Classes:
-AP English Literature
-AP Calculus AB
-Orchestra

I can take 7 classes. I want a rigorous courseload, but not something that will completely stress me out and leave me with 6 hours of sleep every night.

Some of my top AP options:
-AP Spanish (really want to take, but I doubt it will run :( )
-AP Physics C
-AP Chemistry
-AP Music Theory
-AP Psychology

I would max out at 4 APs, tops.

This means I'd have 2 spots left to fill with classes. I have the option to take a "study hall" class, but I'm not sure if it would look bad to colleges.

If I take it, I'd have 1 spot to fill, but if not 2. Most of these are half year courses!

Possible Electives:
-CSI (hard work, so it might be bad with 4 APs)
-Ceramics II
-Digital Photography
-Accounting
-Sociology
-Anthropology
-Myths and Legends
-Jewelry I
-Commerical Art I
-Business Management

Consider your major you are interested in and what AP courses colleges you want to go to will take. AP psych is a joke to colleges (what I’ve heard) and so I think your best bet would be AP Spanish and AP Physics. I would opt for a free period because it does help with getting unfinished homework done or even a head start on it. when it comes to electives, I would choose: Digital Photography (I love photography so I kind of have to encourage it haha), Sociology, Anthropology (VERY INTERESTING) and Business management. The later three I believe show a desire for learning more in depth and are relatively challenging courses. Good Luck!

For elective take whatever interest you. I would do photography. For the core courses, I agree, Psych is a joke. I would suggest AP Spanish and the choice of AP Chem or Physics.

Thank you! If I can’t take Spanish, what should I take? I absolutely love it and want to minor in it but we might not have enough people to run it

Don’t take AP’s because they might look best, that is contrary to what the whole point of an education is, take what interests you. So if a “joke” AP like Psych interests you more than a more rigorous AP, then by all means take Psych. That’s just my opinion though.

at this point im not really sure what interests me and getting into a good college is my first priority! a lot of classes i think that i would enjoy if they were at a faster pace, so its hard to tell currently.
