help with CR please

i got my score from march and my CR is really bad. i have to agree that my vocab is beyond horrible. and the pasages just confuses me. i'll understand what they're saying but im not good at anaylsis. is there any way i can improve my cr? im thinking of taking princton review courses, but i just did a different sat class before i took the march sat. my math and writing improved but my cr went down. and this is my 2nd time taking the test. im thinking of taking the 3rd sat in oct. any advices? thankss!

take a lot of practice tests! and I memorized the 3,500 words for CR -> I went from the 560 (practice test) -> 73 (PSAT) -> 800 (March SAT)

I don't recommend memorizing since it takes an enormous amount of time, I did it because I did not want to really on my "literary instincts" ( which have none of).

For the passages, the answers are in the passage itself - its just a matter of finding them. If you take the practice test from the CB book and then analyze the ones that you got wrong, your score should increase

naidu90, do you recommend reading a book like word smart for vocab?

just pick up a list.....and start crankin em out

Which is better for CR; Barron's SAT 2400 or Barron's Critical Reading Workbook?
And is Rocket Review better then either of these for CR?

Where did u get the list of words?

search google...barrons has a 3500 list i think in their SAT study book. sparknotes has a 1000 word list. Just look around.

read books... memorizing vocab hasn't worked for me... its driving me INSANE

Also wondering what book is recommended for critical reading prep. Got a horrible 530 on the CR! Ekk
