I have taken the SAT twice already. My first score was a 1660 (Reading:480 Writing:530 Math:650). My second score was an 1850 (Reading:570 Writing:620 Math:660).

The area I need the most help on is the reading section. How do you guys study for the SAT and what tips can you give me when taking it? Also, how else can I improve on the other sections? I'm aiming for a 2000+ on my next test.

What I’m doing is, I’m taking practice tests from college boards blue book. Seeing where I make my errors and try to fix it. Also, instead of doing a whole test, I do practice sections and see if I improve my score. See why you got the questions wrong. Many explanations for answers you can find on Pwn the Sat website.

For critical reading, it’s really important to able to identify the tone of the passage as you read it. Don’t choose answers based on what you think is the most acceptable but base it on what the PASSAGE supports best. You should do as many practice tests as you can but being able to interpret the passage the way it is supposed to is key. Master that and you’ll be golden.

Does annotating the passage really help a lot?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for tips. I’m planning on doing a lot of studying this long weekend
