Help with EC's.

In my goals in getting into a good school, I have succeeded in achieving stellar grades and test scores but do not know what direction to go in, in terms of extra curricular activities. (Besides being captain of varsity tennis team).

I would appreciate suggestions in what extra curricular activities to participate in. I have volunteered a lot, had jobs and stuff but nothing too extraordinary as my family does not have a lot of money and hence, the ability the help me pursue my interests which are piano, musical composition and philosophy. I want to join some clubs but don't know how to become a leader in them.

Also, I want to start a club subjecting on my interests but don't know what to call them or do with them.

Reading that post, its seems that I sound like an #$@&-hole. Sorry.

I think you ask a legitimate question, and nothing wrong with the way your post sounds at-all. It is your experience and you are being honest, so to get an honest feedback.
That being said, What is your class status in college? I mean are you a freshman or senior?
Reason is time?
You can create your own clubs that you are interested in, say community service clubs, dance, music etc, just campus based or town based if thats your route. Or better yet, join the once already on your campus and start applying for any leadership positions and volunteer for leadership task that they may have open.
Just be creative, there is always something to be done on a college campus… you just have you be enthusiastic enough to get the ball rolling.
Best of luck to you.
