<p>I'm a junior right now in highschool and haven't really done too much EC's all i have is 100 hours from being a counselor at a camp and I do track. I'm really interested in majoring in a social science in college probably cultural studies or economics. So that i've figured that since i'm starting so late, my best chance is to pick one or two EC's that really relate to what i plan on majoring in. So i just wanted to ask for help on what kind of EC's i could do that correspond with cultural studies or economics or where i could find ones that do.</p>
<p>You don’t have to have ECs that relate to your proposed major. Pick ECs that you would enjoy. Your major is likely to change anyway, and colleges know that. Most college students change their majors at least twice while in college.</p>
<p>Ok thanks, i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find volunteering opportunities, because I’ve looked on the internet but nothing that really interests me popped up. Maybe it’s because i don’t know where to look?</p>

I’ll just point out that this depends on the school. Some (especially in other countries such as the UK and Canada) only care about ECs if they directly relate to your area of study.</p>
<p>Anyway, does your community have a volunteer program as part of Parks/Rec? Many do.</p>
